Fuengirola port is a hive of activity all year round and it offers a full range of facilities to the public. It is also a very popular area for outdoor café culture and has excellent terrace restaurants incorporating bars offering an interesting night life. The port is located midway along Fuengirola promenade just down from Fuengirola Bus and Train station.
The port is split into two distinct areas; one is the traditional fishing port where local fishermen bring in fresh fish every day for the local market. It is very interesting to take an early morning or late afternoon stroll alongside the working fishing boats to see the morning catch or watch the fishermen mending their nets by hand. On the distant horizon at night, they can also be spotted, fishing by floodlight till dawn.
The other side of the port is a sports and leisure marina, with over 225 berths (lengths ranging from eight to 20 meters). The facilities are all you would expect from a 21st-century marina, with all modern conveniences at each berth. On the dry dock, there is a crane facility on hand for boats up to 6 tonnes and a lift service for those up to 35 tonnes.
From the busy, modern marina area there are many companies offering pleasure trips, boat charters, fishing trips (including excellent tuna fishing) and speedboat hire. Dolphin watching trips; One of the attractions once out of the port area is seeing the dolphins swim alongside the boat.
The Fuengirola port and its Club Nautico (Yacht Club) is frequented by some of Europe’s keenest sailors and for those interested in learning, the level of instruction is considered one of the highest on the Mediterranean.

As with most well-appointed marinas, the port attracts many observers as well as those active on boats or enjoying water sports. There are many excellent bars, restaurants, and clubs where are open the year round and offer a wonderful setting for lunch, ‘tapas’, dinner, cocktails or after dark clubbing. Dinner on one of the restaurants’ outside terraces with views out across the moored boats onto the horizon of the Mediterranean towards North Africa is a delightful experience.
As well as sailing, there is a full range of water sports locally including, scuba diving, water skiing, jet skis, parasailing, glass bottom boats and much more. One of the most recommended water sports operators is Jet Water Sports which offers all kinds of services such as flyboard rental.

Sould Park opened a children’s park in Fuengirola Port on 20th February 2015. This park is over 3000m2 and consists of 15 rides for children to enjoy.
Access to the park is not free and works on a top-up card system where the cards are free to obtain and then you can top up as little or as much as you want onto to the card. Sould Park makes for a great day out for the kids.
